Pumps
The company offers various types of pumps: screw pumps, centrifugal pumps, gear pumps and plunger pumps.
Centrifugal pumps are of the dynamic type and are widely used in industrial plants due to the following characteristics:
-
high output with smooth and continuous flow of pumped medium
-
no friction pairs, as a result of which the highest possible reliability and durability of the components is achieved
-
enable pumping chemically active medium, medium containing abrasive particles
-
enable multi-sectional pumping units by adding impellers to the pump shaft, with or without increasing flow rate
The disadvantages of this pump type include sensitivity to increased viscosity of the pumped media, e.g. due to temperature reduction.
Industrial applications for centrifugal pumps:
-
oil product transfer
-
feeding solutions and reagents
-
chemical and coal industries
-
water supply and wastewater systems
Screw pumps are of the positive displacement type and are used fully in various industries due to the fact that they can be used in a wide variety of applications:
-
low fluid requirements, viscous fluids and abrasive particles can be handled
-
allow for multiphase medium (containing large quantities of sand and free gas)
-
ensure smooth and continuous flow of medium, possibility of dosing
-
create possibility of self-priming at inlet, high outlet pressure, high efficiency
-
low noise and vibration levels and compact dimensions
The disadvantages of this pump type are difficult manufacturing and maintenance.
Industrial applications for centrifugal pumps:
-
pumping of formation fluid, oil and petroleum products
-
transportation of water containing sand
-
metered flow of flocculants, polymers and various chemicals
-
chemical and coal industries
Gear pumps are of the positive displacement type and are applicable due to the following characteristics:
-
simple design to optimise production and maintenance costs
-
ability to operate over a wide range of capacities and temperatures
-
small dimensions, high efficiency
-
low demands on the composition and viscosity of the pumped medium
The disadvantages of this type of pump are pulsation during operation, intolerance to abrasive inclusions in the pumped medium, wear of the gears and consequently lower efficiency and high noise level.
Industrial applications for gear pumps:
-
Pumping highly viscous petroleum products (e.g. paraffin, bitumen)
-
Tanker loading and unloading
-
Transportation of mineral oils, light and heavy oil fractions
